Living the Fruit, Not Just Claiming the Name

Greetings, Balanced Life Family,

We are living in a time when many people claim to be Christians, yet their daily lives show very little evidence of it. The life of a true believer is noticeably different from the world’s lifestyle. We walk with God, and through the Holy Ghost, He produces in us the fruit of the Spirit, qualities that should be visible wherever we go. Galatians 5:22-23

Love is choosing kindness whether people deserve it or not.                 Joy is the inner gladness that comes from God, untouched by circumstances.                                                                                     Peace is the calm trust in God even when life feels chaotic. Longsuffering is patience, endurance, and being slow to anger. Gentleness is kindness, tenderness, and thoughtful consideration toward others.                                                                                               Goodness is choosing what is morally right and doing good to all.   Faith is trusting God completely, even when you cannot see the outcome.                                                                                                  Meekness is humility and controlled strength, not weakness. Temperance is self‑control over desires, emotions, words, and actions.

To some, this may seem like a lot. But these qualities are not produced by our own strength; they are the Spirit’s work within us. And they should shine on your job, in your neighborhood, at social gatherings, during phone conversations, and in every space your life touches.

Remember, we are the sinner’s Bible. People read our lives long before they ever read Scripture. They should see that our lives are different and that Jesus truly lives in us. Matthew 5:16

When we speak, our words should reflect our Christian identity. When things don’t go our way, people should witness self‑control. In the midst of confusion, they should see peace.

This kind of witness is far more powerful than simply saying, “I’m a Christian” or “I go to church” or “I’m a believer”.

We need the fruit of the Spirit actively working in our lives to show the world that Jesus is real. He lives in His people, and He makes a difference in our lives. Don’t just claim the name; live the fruit!
